3/11 - 3/17

I managed to log 22:11 miles this week. They mostly felt pretty good too. I have increased my stretching and I believe it is beginning to help me with running.

Sunday 3.10 miles
Tuesday 4 miles
Thursday 5 miles
Saturday 10 miles.

The ten miler this morning was great. I felt good. The sun was shining, and after 5 miles, I took off my jacket and wrapped it around my waist. It felt great to be out there in the sun. I repeated some affirmations to myself when I was challenged... like "I am a runner," & "I am a marathoner." I took that advice from one of the books I am reading.

I do believe I am going to be able to do this half-marathon. This morning, I tried to imagine what it will feel like to be running down Colfax Avenue - I am really looking forward to it.

I love it that you're confident you can run the race. I've been getting over a cold and my miles are way down this week ... but I know the past several weeks of training will carry me through. My first 10-miler was supposed to have been Saturday ... I hope when I do it next week it feels as good as yours!

That's funny, because sometimes when I'm out running I do the same affirmations! Yes, I AM a runner, even if I don't yet have a runner's body. Seriously, that is what I think to myself. LOL!!

You are doing awesome!!! Keep it up!!!
